Curriculum

The main area of importance for our British early years international pre-school and kindergarten curriculum near Sathorn, Bangkok using the EYFS curriculum is the social and emotional development of the child.

british curriculum for kindergarten bangkokAttending classes at Noddy by Elizabeth prepares children for the future and their formal education. It teaches them compassion and how to behave in public and around their peers. The British Early Years curriculum that Noddy teachers focus on benefits the child’s personal, social and emotional development. It also helps the child improve their communication and English language skills. The curriculum also helps the child develop physically. The physical development helps them improve the motor skills they need for drawing, painting and working with play-dough, as well as climbing, running, balancing and exploring the world around them.

Everyone needs a friend to talk to and laugh with. Children will learn the skills needed to get along with others including:
  • Learning to share
  • Waiting for one’s turn
  • Being aware of others’ feelings
  • Spatial awareness
  • To listen to instructions
  • To help, and co-operate, and to form friendships with peers
But it is also important to develop in the areas of:
  • Basic hygiene for healthy living, which includes
    • Toilet training
    • Washing hands
    • Eating healthy food

Child learning activities

We also introduce the children to:

  • Language development and beginning to learn reading and writing skills.
  • Basic social manners

For K2 & Year 1, children begin to learn:

  • Reading and writing skills introduced through the “Jolly Phonics” system.
  • The “Six Areas of Learning” following the British National Curriculum, Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Extended hours

We offer extended hours (not mandatory) for our extra-curricular activities (ECA) for children from the K1 age group onwards. The programmes are different each day and aim to support children’s interests beyond normal classes. Children will explore activities such as cooking, football, tennis, dancing, music, arts & crafts, and Thai language.
